i noticed that during work out, my muscles are hard and firm, but a day after work out they become soft again...why is that? how do you keep those muscles to remain "muscular"?

During work out, your muscles work at its best because of the demand of the activity. After, your muscles rest to recover from the exercise that's why it becomes soft.

To keep those muscles "muscular", you have to work out some more. If you have a trainer, ask him. I'm sure he/she can help you. :D

Muscles get pumped during work-out. Lactic acids builds up that causes the muscle to hyper-contract that makes it appear hard and firm. during cool-down, lactic acids subsides and this will make your muscles more relaxed that appears to be soft.

To maintain the hard and firm form, you should eat protein rich food right away after working out. the protein will help your muscle to grow big. If you eat fatty food, this would just make you look swollen like most bouncers are.

^ same here im naturally slim so i had to eat lots of lean meat to put on the pounds, and it worked for me. Before i started working out i was at 156 lbs. and im 184 cm. now im at 178 - 180lbs.

I suggest before working out eat 1-2 whole chicken breast. You may steam it or boil withgarlic onion or pepper or any spices but just avoid using seasonings high in sodium. After workout eat the same or you may replace ot with 2/3 beef. Avoid using oil. For your snack you may take 5-6 egg whites. For your dinner You may have a fish If you can get a large size tilapia or salmon that will be good. U can have a piece of this. Have your meals with at least 2 cups of rice. For dinner try to pair it with a bowl of oatmeal instead of rice. You may also drink a bottle of soy milk each day. You can only have 1 cheat day. Avoid eating oily food this will not give you a quality mass. This would just make you swollen like bouncers. Basically, you should consume 2-3 kg of lean meat per day.
Happy Birthday!

Yeah i eat it everyday. Yeah the rice may contribute to your expanding belly. however, you can avoid this by adding cardio exercises to your routine. if you do weight lifting, 15 min cardio before and after work out will do.

Take note that if you're having leg workout, you dont have to spend that much time on your cardio exercisew, for the leg workout would already burn the calories. You may do 5-10 min cardio exercises before your weight lifting.

Happy Birthday!

Try doing this:

1. Inclined Chest Press barbel - 10 Kg each side, 15 reps, 5 sets
2. Flat Chest Press barbel -  10 Kg each side, 15 reps, 5 sets
3. Hammer Strength chest press  - 20 kg each side, 15 reps, of 5 sets.

You may also try drop sets. Add 2.5 kg for each set, and lessen your reps by 2 for each set.

If you think you can handle more weight, you can start with 15 kg for each side. Thats for the inclined and Chest Press barbel.

Happy Birthday!

You may sign up in FF. Dont worry about the bad comments you've been hearing, things have improved and the management has been more strict. You would see that there are guards patrolling in the locker room so your belongings are safe.

If you're really serious on getting buff,  i suggest you get a Personal Trainer.  I have my personal trainer since I signed up in the fitness club. Get the platinum certified trainer, they wont let you down.
