Horror/Thriller movie you'd actually be curious to experience
« on: September 27, 2011, 02:43:53 AM »
I know this sounds like a crazy question.  I mean, who'd want to actually experience being stalked by Jason (of Friday the 13th) or being attacked by Freddy Kreuger, right?  Clearly, none of us really want to be "living a horror movie plot."  But  look beyond the fact most characters in horror films die, and try to look at the stories/opportunities as a whole.  In the spirit of the coming Halloween season, why not try thinking out of the box today and share us:

What Horror/Thriller movie you'd actually be curious to experience?

Me, I think I'd love to experience Cloverfield.  The idea of being present when a massive monster emerges to attack a city kinda excites me in the sense that it challenges my confidence in my survival skills.   I'd love to witness the gargantuan beast fight against the military.  And I did kinda want to try traversing the nearly collapsing buildings in that other scene.

Crazy, I know, but somehow, if I could experience it, then leave and go back to my life after, why not?

Sounds interesting.
Will look it up.

edit:
Was about to download but saw the magic word "Snuff"
Not my kind of movies.  Snuff films (popularized by Cannibal Holocaust, and more recently, Hostel and these kinds of films, focus more on gore and inducing fainting squeamish scenes.  I prefer tension building horror over this and shock value kinds of horror.

But yeah, I can imagine these as being pretty well done, considering the number of torrents I saw.

Thanks anyway for the reco.

I'd actually want to be in Kayako's house while watching Sadako's video.. That would be fun.. The Grudge and The Ring in one place :)

In ignobility, nobility. In shame, honor. In darkness, light. I will do justice and love mercy. Untill the queen returns, I shall not lay my burden down."

hmn... yeah... gore doesn't really count as horror for me... I prefer psychological thrillers... but I don't think Inception counts...
"The sea is emotion incarnate. It loves, hates, and weeps. It defies all attempts to capture it with words and rejects all shackles. No matter what you say about it, there is always that which you can't."
