Suggestions for a Timely Classic Song for a Singing Contest
« on: February 22, 2012, 01:25:51 AM »
I need your help guys. These Songs are my personal choice and i often sing all of these in a female version. I always do revivals on classical songs, no particular choice of singers as long as i can catch the harmony and melody and as long as it jives my style and pitch. I just wanted to know how popular these songs are to you so I can pick-up which one has the most votes. Let the voting begin.. :)

I was just amazed on how American Idol Season 11 participants sang those old classic songs from the 60's or even older. I want it to be a trend here in the Philippines.

i see. have you heard Lani Misalucha's beautiful rendition of neither one of us? La Diva's version is as powerful as Glady's soulful version, but more like on the pop genre. I love both versions.

Mr. C once said, it would be 80% of any singer's success is the choice of songs regardless kung gaano pa xa kagaling.

You can be a good singer but a bad song won't turn out na maganda and vice versa.

I vote for Neither One of Us. It's beautiful, classic and familiar. Pero hindi pa sya masyadong ubiquitous sa mga singing contest to make it nakakasawa.

I like it when people do covers and incorporate their style while not compromising a lot from the song.

heniway...

in choosing a song, you also have to take your own singing style and all that jazz into consideration i.e. if you have a 2-octave vocal range, don't sing a mariah or an aretha...
